Okay avocado masters! Now that we’ve introduced our avocado tutorial, it’s safe to assume we have some distinguished avocado picker-prepper-uppers. (For those of you who have missed it, GO HERE ya n00b.)
I’m not much of a morning person so when it comes to breakfast, it has to be simple and fast. And not having to cook anything is also a plus because fire + sleepiness = epic disasters.
My dream breakfast would be something nutritious and filling and simple. In comes avocado toast. Takes 5 minutes from start to finish and it’s awesome tasting. While the bread is toasting, prep your toppings, and then assemble and go! Plus you can be creative with it and switch up the flavors so you’re not stuck eating the same thing every morning.
Let’s start with a super basic recipe -- I like to use this recipe as a base and add from there.
For the bread, I enjoy using the Ezekiel brand for two reasons: it’s sprouted grain bread so it’s nutrient dense and it usually comes frozen so it can last in your freezer for up to 3 months.
Freshly cracked black pepper adds a great amount of flavor so take the extra step in either buying a grinder or I absolutely adore these. Maldon sea salt is a great finisher and gives any dish a surprising texture and flavor. You can find it at specialty grocery stores and you might be lucky enough to find it in some bulk sections. That way you can buy in lesser portions.

Goat cheese is great for those who are lactose intolerant. It’s high in protein and lower in fat and cholesterol than most other cheese. Black sesame seeds add great flavor and contains vital minerals and lemon zest really adds a nice brightness and serves as a digestif.
