GRAPEFRUIT NEGRONI

I have this weird guilty pleasure. I love the Eat Like A Man column in Esquire Magazine. They feature these simple, hearty recipes and awesome guides about the different types of liquors and alcohols and beers. An informative yet entertaining read, and the photography is beautiful as well!

I found this recipe for a Classic Negroni under their cocktails and tried it with a little grapefruit juice. Just perfect. Refreshing, with just the right amount of bite and serves as a great digestif after dinners. Serve in a chilled glass.

GRAPEFRUIT NEGRONI

recipe from Esquire  Eat Like A Man

(serves 1)

Depending on how one prefers a Negroni, many variations can be made. For the beginner, or those who prefer a nice summer adaptation, add 1/4 ounce of grapefruit juice and substitute the orange peel with a grapefruit peel.

• 1 part gin
• 1 part Campari (or Aperol)
• 1 part sweet vermouth (like Martini & Rossi or Carpano Antica)

In a mixing glass, add ingredients and stir over ice. Strain into a rocks glass with or without ice. Peel a wide strip of orange and squeeze over the glass for aroma. Add to the glass as garnish.
